London Men win big in all 3 games

The London Men’s team put together 3 strong performances over the weekend as they took on Hamilton in all 3 contests.

The C team came out strong and started the day off with a 57-10 victory over Hamilton’s 3rd side.  Strong performances all around which included a great game by Laurus Basson who scored numerous times, as well old-boy Tim Lesaux put together a great game will some solid hits.  Also birthday boy Tim O’Callaghan was able to rumble in a try before getting hurt and coming off the field.

The B team continued where the C team left off as they were able to beat Hamilton 88-0.  Showing the depth London has with a pack and backline of great talent, London was able to dominate the game.

Finally the A team got their chance and were able to finish the day with a 53-0 victory.

London came out strong early as Fly half Derek Daypuck was able to break the line before passing off to outside Center Ryan Jenner for the try…unfortunately a self inflicted eye gouge forced Pucker off the field but London stayed strong, as moments later Jenner was able to pick off a pass and run it back for another try.  This was followed by a long run from winger Brent Hodge, after this Hamilton was able to spend most of the rest of the half in London’s end but unable to get points on the board.  Just before half winger Wei Lai returned a kick thru traffic for London’s 4th try of the half and a 24-0 lead.

The second half saw London come out strong again as Wei was able to score 2 more tries with his shifty moves, as well winger Hodge. Another strong performance by London’s premier side has allowed them to win 4 straight.  Up next is a home game against Oshawa this weekend on Alumni Day.
